Competent Persons Explained

We are not just a stove shop. As a company who have been installing heating systems for over 3o years we have seen a lot of changes.

We have always had a philosophy that doing a good job and getting recommended for it has underpinned the business, but today this has to be backed up with qualifications which are regularly updated and verified.

As a customer you need to know that your stove installation has been installed properly by a competent person and you need reassurance that this is the case.
For more information about ‘competent persons’ read the leaflet below-

At Ashburn we are registered by OFTEC, an established organisation which has supported safety withing the heating industry since 1991. Read more from OFTEC by clicking on the Logo.

To meet insurance and planning standards any stove installed must meet current standards and be fitted by someone qualifying as a  ‘Competent Person’
