Long, long ago a new Log Stove was thrown down on the hearth and the flue pipe was pointed roughly up the chimney …………. those days have gone.
Customers are often bemused by our insistence that Log Stove are now fitted in accordance with regulations and the manufacturers instructions…. here is a good example why.
Stoves must be fitted at a specified distance from combustible surfaces, which includes plaster board.
This stoves was fitted too close to tiles fitted to plaster board …… Yes it is combustible!!
And please …. don’t pile logs up round the stove either
